I like it but I don't think it's quite us.

i like the overall shape but for me it’s hard to tell that it’s a cougar.

it’s too sleek.

Thinking it's the facial expression.

I like the shape of the cougar itself but overall it feels too abstract. If we are trying to redefine/reimagine the college, our cougar needs to be clear and defined as well.

I like this image of the cougar, I agree the cougar should face the opposite way. I like how the tail curves up, ready for action.

For 2 it might be better with Lauren's suggestions. I don't like the cougar being on top I think.

Jackson State University and Grambling State University have big cats in their logo with personality. Great examples.

I was thinking the same on the direction of the cougar Lauren. I like the body shape, negative space, and lines. I also like that anyone could look at this cougar and feel represented because of the open detail in the face. This cougar looks intelligent, and ready for an opportunity like our students. Could define it a bit more.

It might be interesting to see Cougar coming out of the ashes behind the LASC with flames without getting too busy.

Definitely palm trees to represent "LA"

I'd like to see the cityscape within the "LASC" letters, as well as palm trees, in a way that is not too complex.

The position and tone of the entire design is not a good one for me. They are battling each other.

Agreed about the blocking of the LASC with the paw. I like the clean LASC

Don't particularly care for the shield

I like this one a lot. It's bold and fierce. The size of lettering doesn't seem right. Not a fan of the shield background overall.

I personally feel this is the best one I have seen thus far

This one is my favorite so far.

I like the piece where the cougar breaks out of the shield and breaks down that

"wall"

The shield unfortunately gives an undertone of law enforcement which creates an adversarial contrast with our community and law enforcement

I agree with Lauren. It feels basic to me, like we've seen it before and many people have logos who look like this

I love the progression of this one and LOVE the shield. In order to set us apart I think cityscape and palm trees would be good to make it unique. I also like the side angle.

I could see the geometrical shape of a couple of buildings behind his neck. easier to scale down than palm trees.

I like the idea of what this could be and I like how the cougar shapes and fills in with LASC. I don’t think I’ve seen a logo like this before. However, I think it could be hard to read/tell what it is on a smaller scale and the cougar could get lost.

I am trying to imagine this logo on a shirt. Green is not our color, Gives me ELAC vibes.

Agreed. Haven't seen a logo like this before Jen. It gives me the sense of looking through an LASC lens. Love the colors.

I like what Rachelle is saying about the LASC lens. It makes me think of the college as a hidden gem within the community

Having lived in both states, it is different :) Our palm trees are better!

I would avoid crowded little details. Specially because logos are used in all sizes as small as business cards those logos tend to loose their details.

Really this logo looks more like fatigues. Visually impaired may not see the cougar.

I think cougars have round ears not pointy ears?

You could put a white oval around the overall design on a black pencil/shirt/notebook, etc.

Yes, Ben and Laure. I think the letters look better in all the logos where they don't have the outline around them.

On 7 not sure if this is exactly what I envisioned with the cougar family but it's close. I was thinking more the outline of a family of cougars all going in one direction forward.

I think something like this could work for CDC but not for the main college logo.

Change direction, love the clean lines. I think Dr. Wilson metioned it reminded her of flames which ties into the history of creating the campus after the LA Uprising and rising from the ashes.
