CHRISTY SANDOVAL (She/her)Christy is a multidisciplinary artist, artistic producer and arts educator born and raised in Watsonville, Ca. As an ensemble member and teatrista with El Teatro Campesino (San Juan Baustia, Ca) her theatrical credits are many, which span the range of: acting, choreographing, directing, producing, writing adaptations, as well as mask and puppet making. Trained extensively through ETC’s educational programs, she also facilitates a variety of workshops around "Theater of the Sphere," the Chican@/x Theater Forms, and hands on art making with paper mache. Christy is dedicated to empowering youth and communities of all ages and backgrounds to the life affirming power of the arts. She works to continue disseminating the lessons of El Teatro Campesino’s community-based practices so that more people have access to creative tools in order to empower themselves and their communities.
